The Accessmount™ Removable Fixture Mounting System* can potentially solve many issues related to smoke detector maintenance.
With an Accessmount™ Detector Mounting System*, you could remove a detector easily and without a ladder. Save yourself from the hazards of ladder falls and the inconvenience of trying to reach a detector mounted on a high ceiling.

There are many uses for the Accessmount system with a smoke detector, including:

Residential:
- Changing batteries
- Resetting the detector as a result of false alarms
- Removing the detector for testing
- Removing the detector for cleaning
- Easily replace the detector every 10 years

Commercial:
- Simplifies initial installation
- Removing for annual cleaning
- Simplifies for replacement detectors

Accessmount LLC is currently working to address smoke detector compatibility, but at this time the Removable Fixture Mounting System is not yet approved for use with smoke detectors.

However, Accessmount LLC is working with several smoke detector companies to license the mount as part of a complete detector system. This should add minimal cost ($1-$2 residential, $3-$4 commercial) and provide a much easier and safer detection system to maintain.
